gaps.md records the seven reports of 6 October (#85, #88, #89, #93, #103,
#106, #117), what they found in features marked done, their fixes of 7
October and the regression tests; parity.md's Interface, Animation and
Preview rows, the ROADMAP's reliability note and the README's panels
paragraph (drag and drop between panels) follow.

#94 asked for native Windows on ARM builds and for their availability and limits to be
documented. The builds landed in #101 (an arm64 entry in the release matrix, the PE checks in
package.ps1 and the windows-arm64 workflow that installs the MSI on ARM64 hardware), but the
README never said they exist. Get started now lists the installers on the Releases page for
each platform, says the Windows ARM64 build runs without x64 emulation, and says what CI checks
on ARM64 hardware and what it doesn't yet (the app's window and a native test run).

gaps.md records the Windows report and its fix under real-user experience and G2; parity.md's
Text row, the ROADMAP's reliability note and the README's Text bullet say text can use any
installed font; architecture.md says when the system font scan runs.

- effectcraft-segment: a FaceModel interface (find a face in a region, follow it; a Topology
maps the model's points to the tracker's landmarks and outline), a TensorFlow Lite reader and
interpreter (float ops, float16 weights folded; matches ai-edge-litert to ~1e-6), and
MediaPipe Face Landmarker (Google, Apache-2.0: BlazeFace + Face Mesh V2, 3.8 MB, pinned
SHA-256). The registry gains a task and authors per model; installed weights get a NOTICE.
- effectcraft-track: FaceTracker::new_with uses the model, falls back to the classical fitter
when it finds no face; chin and jaw come from the outline either way so measurements agree.
- Engine: roto_models becomes models (both tasks); face.models / face.model.* commands,
Settings ▸ Face Tracking, `wait` on select/install/download for scripts; track.mask reports
faceModel.
- Credits: ATTRIBUTION.md lists the optional models and the Apache-2.0 specs the code follows.
- Docs: README, ROADMAP (G7), gaps, parity (TRK-3 score unchanged pending G1), agents,
preferences, architecture, segment README.

- New L1 crate effectcraft-segment: the MaskModel interface (prompts → foreground probability),
a registry of open-licensed models (licence must be MIT/Apache/BSD/…; URL, size, SHA-256),
a PyTorch checkpoint reader (zip + pickle subset), dependency-free SHA-256, and MobileSAM
(TinyViT-5M + SAM prompt encoder / two-way transformer / mask decoder) on rayon and ndarray's
safe GEMM. Loads the official mobile_sam.pt as published; checked against candle
(embedding 0.3% RMS, 99.9% equal mask pixels); ~0.7 s/frame encoder at 32 threads, cached
per frame, ~0.1 s decoder.
- track::roto: segment_with / propagate_with prompt a model with the strokes or the flow-warped
matte (box, core points, mask); its probability is a strong, unblurred prior for the same
graph cut (strokes stay hard constraints); a failing model or one disagreeing with the flow
(IoU < 0.5) is ignored. Prior gets a weight.
- effects::roto: Version 2.0 / 3.0 use the model chosen in Settings (set_model / model_for);
the model id is part of the chain seed.
- engine: roto_models (roto.models, roto.model.select / install / download / remove), weights in
the models folder (host::config_dir()/models, shared by the app, CLI and MCP), background
loading, downloads through the system curl, verified; Settings ▸ Roto Brush page (prefs
roto.model). host::config_dir moved from the desktop app.
- Tests: segment (kernels vs direct sums, checkpoint reader, SHA-256 vectors, registry), track
(fake model: prior shapes the cut, failing / disagreeing models ignored; real weights with
EFFECTCRAFT_MOBILESAM: base IoU 0.989, propagated ≥ 0.980 vs classic 0.973), engine (registry,
verification, selection; real install + load), MCP.
- Docs: README, ROADMAP, parity (MSK-4 done: 90/2/0), preferences, agents, architecture,
crates/segment/README.md.

parity.md's ≈99% measures breadth only. docs/gaps.md assesses real-world
readiness by dimension (fidelity, .aep interop, stability, platform
reliability, performance, media, AI tools, maturity) with evidence, and
sets prioritised workstreams with done criteria. ROADMAP, README, parity.md,
AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md point agents at it.

Render Settings: field render with 3:2 pulldown phases, effects/solo/guide
layer/color depth/frame blending/motion blur overrides, custom time sampling
(duration), storage overflow through a quota hook. Output Module: crop
(edges or region of interest), resize (presets, lock aspect, quality),
straight/premultiplied/alpha-only channels, post-render actions, include
project link, audio channels and PCM formats, WebM bitrate and key frame
interval. Render Settings / Output Module templates with built-ins and
defaults per slot (Edit > Templates dialogs), render logs next to the
output, Notify on completion. All through renderQueue.* commands and
persisted in the project.

Drop the app icon from the top of the README, matching PhotoCraft, and
show each app's icon next to its name in the Crafting Apps table in place
of the coloured name badges. The table is now identical across all seven
apps apart from the "you are here" row.

- assets/app-icon/: master and light SVGs, 1024 px PNG, .icns (Apple grid), .ico (16-256),
hicolor 16-512 + scalable, LICENSE.txt, README with palette (#e0368f / #efe9dc / #0b0b0c),
tile geometry and provenance; attribution sidecars + ATTRIBUTION.md rows.
- packaging/icons.sh regenerates everything with resvg, iconutil and the new `cargo xtask ico`.
- Runtime icon via ViewportBuilder::with_icon (padded variant on macOS) and Wayland app ID
ai.storyteller.effectcraft; packaging/linux/ai.storyteller.effectcraft.desktop.
- apps/effectcraft/build.rs embeds the .ico and VERSIONINFO into effectcraft.exe (winresource,
Windows targets only; a missing resource compiler is a warning).
- Web favicon.svg is now the unicorn icon.

PRJ-7. `engine::autosave` with the session hooks the frontends call:
- Auto-save: every N minutes a dirty project is written to "EffectCraft Auto-Save" next to
it (or a custom folder; untitled projects use the custom folder or the config dir) as
"<name> auto-save N.ecproj", rotating through max versions (oldest overwritten, extra
slots dropped when the maximum shrinks). Optional save when the render queue starts.
- Atomic writes for projects, auto-saves and config files: temp file + fsync + rename; a
failed write removes the temp file and leaves the previous file intact.
- Crash recovery: a session.lock sentinel in the config dir records the open project and
its latest auto-save; a clean exit removes it. At launch a leftover sentinel offers the
latest auto-save in a Recover Project dialog (Settings > Startup can turn it off).
- File > Open Recent (stored in the settings) with Clear Recent Projects; Increment and
Save uses After Effects naming ("Intro 2.ecproj"); Revert reloads the saved file.
- Commands: file.autoSave, file.recoveryInfo, file.openRecent {index|path},
file.clearRecent.
- Tests: rotation, interval/dirty tick, simulated crash mid-write, unclean-exit detection
and recovery, Open Recent / Increment and Save / Revert.

New crate effectcraft-lottie (L3): export a comp to Lottie JSON / dotLottie
(precomp and base64 image assets; shape, solid, null, precomp, image and text
layers or glyph shapes; transforms with parenting, separated position,
anchor; keyframes with speed/influence converted to normalised i/o tangents,
hold keys, spatial ti/to; all shape items incl. gradients, dashes, trim,
repeater and path operators; masks, track mattes, blend modes, time remap,
timing, markers, optional expressions, a few Lottie effects) with a warnings
list for what Lottie cannot express, and the inverse import. Commands
file.exportLottie / file.importLottie with File > Export / Import entries.
Round-trip tests (values and rendered frames) and hand-written fixtures.

- apps/effectcraft-web (L6): eframe web runner booting the shared EffectcraftApp with a browser
session: in-memory file table, <input type=file> pickers and drag-and-drop for open/import,
downloads for Save and Render Queue outputs (several files as one stored .zip), and the
window.effectcraft promise API over the control channel. Demo project on start.
- wasm32 runtime fixes: web-time for Instant/SystemTime (render, engine, export, ui-egui);
Frames renders queued jobs on the UI thread (Frames::pump) instead of a thread pool;
Render Queue runs inline; relative outputs resolve under / ; control PNGs inline.
- effectcraft-export: per-job output Sink (files to memory instead of disk); host FileExporter
carries it; test that sink exports touch no file.
- xtask web [--dev] [--serve PORT] (wasm-bindgen 0.2.129, optional wasm-opt, COOP/COEP server);
effectcraft-web in WEB_CRATES. docs/web.md, headless Chrome smoke test, favicon (+attribution).
